The vaporeon is uncharacteristically small, not much bigger than it must have been when it was an eevee, and it's so wet that, once it's done settling into Lysandre's arms, the front of his shirt is soaked through, giving the professor an unexpected but very welcome glimpse of the muscular lines of his chest.
"Someone seems to have really taken a liking to you," Augustine says, cheerful as ever; he holds back a snicker when Lysandre frowns at that, holding the water-type pokémon a little tighter.
"I have no room for it," Lysandre retorts, which is a lie; they can both already tell that, by the time the lab closes and Lysandre has to go home, he'll be unable to leave the vaporeon behind, and will make sure to find him a prime spot in his gyarados's aquarium.
