"It's a disgusting habit," Lysandre says, his lip curling in that way it used to whenever he talked about those he considered the scum of the world, long enough ago that the memory only stings a little, "and I feel ashamed of myself for having contributed to it, if only indirectly."
Augustine snorts, tilts the cigarette he's holding into the grimer-shaped ashtray he bought in Kanto when he was still a student, and says, "Don't flatter yourself too much."
He pauses to think for a moment, studying the weight of Lysandre's thick eyelashes as he blinks, before deciding to add, "If you'd like to provide an incentive to stop, though, I wouldn't mind indulging in any other form of stress relief you have in mind," just for the raw satisfaction of watching Lysandre's cheekbones go pink and his gaze darken at the implication.
