The ears feel odd on his head, flopping whenever he moves, and the only reason he hasn't started panicking yet is that, at this point, spontaneously growing animal parts ranks fairly low on the list of weird occurrences he's had to suffer through at Sintracorp.
"Miss Sintra said Domori isn't sure what caused it to happen, or when it'll stop," Kate explains to Inay in the cafeteria, while Brian sulks in the corner, unwilling to go through the ordeal of showing off his newly-sprouted dog ears, "but if you ask me, I think they're very cute!"
It's a good thing he hasn't grown a tail as well, because, otherwise, Brian suspects it'd be wagging right then.
