That's not true, and they both know it – he's been staring at her the entire time they've been introduced, lingering on the curve of her back and the lines of her neck with that glimmer in her eyes she's well-acquainted with – though the sincerity in his solemn expression makes it clear he doesn't realize she's noticed.
She smiles at him, tilts her head so her hair falls off her shoulder and he has to look away to not betray his fascination with her pulse, and says, "That suits me just fine."
